Led by the Centre for Effective Services, COLAB will test practical, evidence-based ways for government to work together — across jurisdictions and levels — to tackle deep-rooted social issues like poverty and social exclusion that affect communities throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Pilot innovative models of cross-border collaboration between governments at different levels and between government and community organisations.
Strengthen operational and technical capacity across public services through learning from pilot activities in border locations and twinned cities.
Develop a comprehensive, evidence-based strategy to guide lasting intergovernmental collaboration for the long term.
Ensure government policies and services have a tangible, positive impact on everyday life in communities across the border region.
We have compiled the following resources to help outline our goals and accomplishments in this project.
