Jessica is project specialist, whose work primarily focuses on research and evaluation. Jessica joined CES after completing a Master’s in Global Criminology, from Utrecht University. Jessica brings with her to CES an enthusiasm for evidence-based practice. Her expertise lies in qualitative research methodologies, literature reviews, thematic data analysis, and evidence synthesis. Her academic areas of interest include penology, feminist criminology and domestic, sexual & gender-based violence, queer studies and intersectionality, child abuse and child protection, and cultural criminology. Jessica also holds a B.A. International (Hons.) in Sociology and German.
Prior to joining CES, Jessica worked for several years in Education as an English Language Teacher (TEFL), both in Ireland and internationally, wherein she enhanced skills such as communication, relationship building, presentation and intercultural competency.
Jessica’s work in CES has spanned a range of sectors (e.g. mental health, child welfare and protection, justice, and education) utilising various methodologies such as mixed-method evaluations, exploratory research, traditional literature reviews, and rapid integrative reviews. In this capacity, she has undertaken projects with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, The Department of Education, Tusla-The Child and Family Agency, and HSE-The National Office for Suicide Prevention.
Jessica has recently completed a Diploma in Project Management (PMP).
