Communication and Connection Survey Results

June 18, 2026

In January, we invited National Lottery Community Fund grant holders to share your views on what is important and helpful to you in communicating and connecting with CES and with other organisations as part of The Learning Exchange Network.

The survey asked:

- What is the best way to let you know what is going on in the Learning Exchange Network?

- What type of engagement works best for you?

- When works best for you?

Thank you to everyone who responded!

You told us

- Meaningful connection with others strengthens capacity and outcomes

- Learning together makes us stronger

- Shortage of time, resources, funding and confidence can make engagement difficult

We have listened to your feedback about the value and benefits of connection and the common issues that might make that difficult.

What we will do

We will strive to develop a trusting environment and grow capacity to make it easier to build relationships.

The Learning Exchange will provide a wide range of opportunities for you to connect with other organisations and learn together to ensure everyone can find something that meets their needs. The first opportunity will be our World Café events, when we will be hosting engagement events across Northern Ireland.

You will also receive a regular e-newsletter with the latest news and events and highlighting learning and good practice. You will have access to online and in person events, one to one meetings, study visits, and a programme of training . We will continually develop the Network activities based on what works for you. The Learning Exchange Network website will provide you with case studies and useful resources.
