The new CES Guide to Implementation is now online. This new online resource includes key information and terminology about implementation, as well as a selection of frameworks, tools and resources. This resource updates, and builds on our Introduction to Implementation which was originally published in 2012.
The guide draws on learning from research and CES’s experience of supporting government departments, agencies, and not for profit organisations to implement services, policies and programmes which improve outcomes for people in health, education and other social services.
'Having good data, and an effective policy or intervention is only part of the overall picture of achieving positive change and improving outcomes for people. How well a service or policy is implemented will also influence what it achieves.'
We launched the guide at the Implementation Network of Ireland and Northern Ireland meeting in May 2019. The guide will be developed over the coming months, to include more tools, case studies and other resources.
