CES is working with the University of Limerick on a new project funded by the Irish Research Council (IRC) and the Health Research Board (HRB). The project involves producing ‘rapid resources’ for healthcare professionals who responded to the HSE’s call to return to practice during the Covid 19 pandemic.
The University of Limerick is leading the project and will produce and share evidence based, online advice and resources for recently qualified professionals, and those moving into new areas of practice. The project aims to respond to the individual needs of professionals, and to support their skills and confidence.
CES will conduct an evaluation of the project. We will be using a realist evaluation approach to examine the process and impact on health professionals and their practice. Realist evaluation studies are concerned with investigating what works, for whom and under what circumstances and are especially useful in complex and complicated environments where it is not feasible to attribute changes in outcomes to any one initiative.
