CES, in partnership with the Department of Children, Disability and Equality (DCDE) and Tusla, is commencing a new national study to examine how care-experienced young adults aged 18-24 are supported in education, employment and training.

The research team are hosting an online Information Event at 2pm on Tuesday 5th August for care-experienced young people, service providers and policy-makers to provide information on the scope of the study and how to get involved.

The event is open to anyone who is interested in care experienced young people, education, employment or training, so please share the link with your contacts.

The study is being led by CES supported by Advisory Groups made up of key stakeholders and care-experienced young adults. It is part of the DCDE Care Experiences Programme.

The study aims to collect data from:

  • Young adults aged 18-24, who have experience of the care system in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Staff or management of services supporting care-experienced young adults aged 18-24 in the Republic of Ireland, in any way, with their education, employment or training.

If you have any questions you would like us to cover at the event, please send them by email to Karl McGrath, CES Research Project Specialist at: kmcgrath@effectiveservices.org
