CES together with Campbell UK and Ireland invites you to:

Using Evidence to Tackle Homelessness – Policy and Practice Implications

Thursday May 6th
3.30 - 5.00pm

How can evidence help to address the challenge of homelessness? What are the implications for policy and practice? What can we learn from the implementation of policy in Ireland and Northern Ireland?

Join us for this online event, which connects evidence with implementation, policy, and practice. The event will be chaired by Sean Holland, Chief Social Worker, Department of Health, Northern Ireland.
Speakers include:

  • Grainia Long, Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive
  • Bob Jordan, National Director of Housing First, Dublin City Council
  • Majella McCloskey, Senior Manager at CES
  • Dr Jennifer Hanratty, visiting scholar of Campbell UK & Ireland and Project Specialist at CES.

The event will showcase recent research conducted by Campbell UK and Ireland, funded by the Centre for Homelessness Impact which focused on three areas: accommodation, discharge programmes and access to services. Panel contributors will consider the research and the implications for policy and practice in a range of sectors including housing, local government, health, mental health and justice.

This event is free but booking is essential.
