Implementation Network of Ireland and Northern Ireland - Implementation Training Video Series
How can you close the gap between policy and practice? How can you collaborate to overcome challenges when providing a new service? How can you secure more meaningful outcomes for service users?
Implementation is all about the ‘how’. It’s about putting a plan into action. Understanding this process is key to providing better policies and services. This is why the Implementation Network of Ireland and Northern Ireland has produced a series of short, evidence-based implementation training videos.
The four modules will provide a high-level introduction to implementation science. One video will be released every quarter by the Implementation Network of Ireland and Northern Ireland and made available on the CES website. Each module will be delivered by an implementation expert from the Implementation Network.
The training videos are available for free. They are useful for anyone interested in learning more about implementation, particularly policy-makers, service providers, managers, practitioners, and researchers.
What will you explore?
- core concepts and theories within implementation science
- enablers and barriers, stakeholder engagement and implementation teams
- implementation models, tools and frameworks
- monitoring, evaluation and sustainability strategies
The first module is entitled “What is Implementation Science?”. This video introduces key definitions and concepts, the rationale behind implementation science and its application in practice. It will also direct you to further resources to deepen your understanding. The module is delivered by Dr Niamh O’Rourke, Head of Standards at the Health Information and Quality Authority, Ireland (HIQA).
