Introducing the team! Claire Lavery

September 29, 2026

The Learning Exchange Network is delivered by a team of experienced and friendly staff from The Centre for Effective Services. We thought you’d like to meet them, so you know who to contact for help or information.

Here we introduce Claire Lavery, who loves to communicate!

Claire is Communications Lead for The Learning Exchange Network, responsible for promoting the Network, including developing the Network webpage, highlighting the great work of Network members, and sharing news and updates across the sector.

Claire has worked in the voluntary sector for over 25 years, first with the Alzheimer’s Society in Northern Ireland and then RNID, where she held a range of senior roles in Northern Ireland and across the UK. She also led Community and Voluntary Sector involvement in the Health and Social Care Board’s flagship transformation programme through Integrated Care Partnerships.

Claire has a strong interest in disability rights, and in depth experience in advocacy and influencing to bring about social change. At CES Claire works to increase awareness of the critical work we do to improve public service impacts for the population, and also provides programme management support to our partners at the HSE in delivering Ireland's national mental health policy 'Sharing the Vision'.

In her free time, Claire enjoys socialising with friends, exploring local and foreign places, learning the ukelele, singing, and a light touch attempt at getting fit.
