Máire brings over 20 years’ experience in research management, strategy and development in the higher education sector. She joined CES with a desire to more effectively bring research into public policy and services.
Máire is an expert in research development with a track record in national and European research funding. Prior to joining CES, Máire was Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at the Technological University of the Shannon, and Strategy Lead for Research Development at the SFI funded ADAPT Research Centre. She has worked collaboratively with many academic disciplines and partners in universities, industry, government and non-government sectors.
Máire has a BA, MA and PhD in Political Theory from University College Dublin, and was awarded a Research Excellence Award from Trinity College Dublin in 2020.
