Context and Implementation of Complex Interventions (CICI) Framework

The CICI framework comprises three dimensions—context, implementation and setting—which interact with one another. It expands on the dimension of context, providing a greater insight into the complex environments in which implementation takes place. This resource will be particularly useful for researchers who are seeking greater understanding of how context affects implementation. This article, written in 2017 by Lisa Pfadenhauer (University of Munich, Germany) and colleagues, provides an outline of the framework.
