Lord Mayor’s Commission on Anti-Social Behaviour - Preventing and responding Anti-Social Behaviour
Location: Croke Park Conference Centre
Date: Wednesday 29th February, 2012
The system in Ireland currently reacts to anti-social behaviour after it has happened. What kind of savings could be made if we put our resources into early intervention and prevention? I am a strong believer that bad behaviour should have appropriate and timely consequences. However, prison is not always the answer and can lead to new problems if networks are formed resulting in worse behaviour. I have seen alcohol and other drugs destroying lives and affecting the morale of communities. These and other issues will be raised at the Conference and I hope to receive feedback from those present.

ESRI Conference on Economic Renewal: "Financial Stability After the Crisis" (ROI)

Date: 29/02/2012
Time: 8.30 - 13.00
Financial Stability After the Crisis is the theme of the third in a special series of half-day conferences on economic renewal, hosted by the ESRI.
This conference will lead off with a paper from the new Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland on macro-prudential policy in Ireland. This will be followed by two papers that explore what current international and domestic evidence can tell us about policies to prevent house-price bubbles and to improve consumer decision-making in financial services. Papers will be followed by a response from an expert in the field and an open Q&A session.
If you wish to attend this event please register here by Friday 24 February 2012.
