Special Interest Group – Community Development
Project Background
One of the Centre for Effective Services (CES) overarching aims is to promote collaborative and joined up working at a sectoral and strategic level. A particular objective within this broad aim is to promote the sharing of good practice and learning, by setting up structures for networking around specific issues, and brokering relationships between professionals locally and internationally. In line with this objective, the Centre will work with likeminded others in Ireland and Northern Ireland, to create unique special interest groups for developing thinking about issues relevant to a particular constituency. To build bridges between people, groups and agencies, and to avoid duplicating existing work and networks, this project will invite attendance from people whose paths would not normally cross in the course of their work, as far as this is reasonable and possible.
